You don't miss the 2018 melting pot festival from 14 to 19 August!

An informal and wild event with flamenco and jazz artists, in a different setting, in symbiosis with nature.

Change of ambition, move with art without additives, to the gross state.

Concerts and improvisation in magical places in the mountains of omaña, Leon.

Stop lights and glitter,
At Melting Pot Festival you're going to live something different.

With the sounds of jerez, Barcelona, London, New York & South Africa, we are waiting for you!!!

The Banger Factory is an organisation contingent upon bringing the people a good time. Born in the heart of Brixton, south London, the band has developed and nourished a truly unique and unmistakable sound. The Outfit lead by young lion Mark Kavuma (trumpet), explores original material, gets people moving and features some of the most gifted, engaging and masterful musicians on the scene today.

Josef Leimberg + Mark Kavuma

The West Coast jazz scene is having a moment. Led by the inimitable Kamasi Washington, it has also bred standout artists like Terrace Martin, Miles Mosley, whilst also birthing the careers of Thundercat and Flying Lotus.

Josef Leimberg Music PAGE is next in line to the throne; having played on Kendrick's already classic To Pimp A Butterfly, he teamed up with Kamasi Washington, Bilal, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Kurupt, Terrace Martin and Miguel Atwood Ferguson for his debut album last year, Astral Progressions.

A criminally slept on record, it stood as one of the most outstanding jazz works to emerge over the last five years, but to call it straight up jazz would be misleading, as it comes packed with flavours of funk, neo-soul and fusion all thrown in.

Opening the show on the night will be London trumpeter Mark Kavuma who recently sold out Ghost Notes in Peckham for the launch of his new album Kavuma, which blends original contemporary jazz with historical roots planted deep in American post-bop, blues and African rhythms

Kavuma - Album release on all platforms

Kavuma’s choice of personnel on this record is a potent mixture of top young jazz cats at the top of their game. He assembled a true gang of brothers. Mark, along with Ruben Fox and Artie Zaitz who went to school together, were all loitering at any jazz “hangs” they could find long before they were of legal age. Then there is Reuben James who joined the ranks when he found himself studying at the same university as the holy trinity. Over the next few years they were honing their craft and developing their sound as a unit at a local late night jazz hang at Brixton’s POW in South London. Each of them also involved with other projects and very much in demand, ended up playing with the who is who of the local and international scene. Their regular trips across the Atlantic to the jazz mecca New York, where they would meet more talent and got to hang with the legends, brought in the prodigious percussionist Kyle Poole and exceptional tap dancer Michela Lerman into the mix. They all hit it off on a grand level. Conor Chaplin is a stupendous bass practitioner that crossed paths with the brotherhood since the music college days. Enter Mussinghi Brian Edwards. A true veteran of the jazz scene and a musical daddy to this lot, unforcefully stepping in with authority and experience. Not only a formidable array of talent, but also demonstrating a rock solid understanding of their respective roles. The ensemble sounds like a band of old dogs in a clear and positively assured sense. They resemble the finest amalgam of classic 50’s Blue Note and Prestige line ups. Perhaps what attracted them to jazz in the first place was the energy, vibe, blues, rhythm, gospel and emotions found on these influential sides.

In 1959, he recorded what is widely regarded as his most triumphant album Kind of Blue with his then working sextet. The album has gone to become the highest selling jazz album of all time, going quadruple platinum. It was further honoured by the house of representatives in December 2009 when they voted 409 – 0 in favour of naming the album as a national treasure.
